Starting MS Word

To open MS Word:

  • Click on the Start Menu
  • Search for Microsoft Word
  • Click on the Word application
  • A blank document or home screen will open

You can also open MS Word using shortcuts depending on your system configuration.

Creating a New Document

To create a new document:

  • Open MS Word
  • Click on File Menu
  • Select New
  • Choose Blank Document
  • Start typing your content

Saving a Document

Saving a document is very important to avoid data loss.

Steps:

  • Click on File Menu
  • Click Save As
  • Choose location (Desktop, Documents, etc.)
  • Enter file name
  • Click Save
